Probate and Powers of Attorney

Probate and Estate Administration

When a person dies their affairs need to be finalised and certain legal formalities dealt with. The person responsible for dealing with these matters is the Executor (if there is a Will) or Administrator (if there is not a Will).

Being an Executor or Administrator can be an onerous task and their responsibilities start at the time when you least want to be confronted with paperwork.

We understand this and know that it can be distressing to have to deal with a loved one’s estate.  We are able to help you with all matters connected with Probate and finalising a persons affairs, however complicated they may be.  We can obtain probate, deal with the Inheritance Tax forms and advise as to whether any post death tax planning can be used to reduce the Inheritance Tax bill.
